Each October the Diversity & Inclusion committee hosts learning sessions to bring awareness to National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). Throughout the month they bring in different speakers to talk about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
I was really excited to work on this project because I believe that good design and inclusive design go hand-in-hand. As a member of the Accessibility and Inclusion team at MRM I’ve learned so much about accessibility and its importance in the ad and design community. For this particular project I used bold colors, high contrast, large type and universal iconography in the materials to demonstrate how ADA compliancy can be used.
I created a poster, desk drop, email banner, screensaver, display ad and donation cards for this project. Those who wanted to donate to Paws for a Cause could purchase paw prints that would be on display with their name in the McCann WorldGroup lobby.
